Yijian Shan is a New York-based director and screenwriter. With a background in journalism and poetry, her work explores the transcendent ties between female interiority, queer desire, and shifting geopolitical landscapes, blending poetic realism with formal experimentation. Alongside her directing practice, she also works as a production designer and producer, and contributes as a screenwriter to both studio-backed and independent arthouse feature films.
